Matthew Yanovskiy, MSN, PMHNP

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Matt has been working as a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2021. Initially starting his career on the East Coast specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and co-morbid disorders with Walden Behavioral Care, Matt has transitioned to treatment of a broad scope of psychological conditions. During his career as a nurse practitioner, he has worked at the inpatient, residential and PHP levels of care. Matt has found that working with clients at different stages in their recovery has been a deeply rewarding experience that has highlighted the importance of supporting a continuum of care. Throughout his career he has gained experience in medication management, psychotherapy, medical monitoring in the context of nutritional rehabilitation, collaboration with a comprehensive care team, and the guidance/management of family therapy. His primary focus of care at this time is medication management with an emphasis on providing holistic healthcare through the practice of functional medicine, incorporation of vitamins/supplements and advocating for lifestyle changes highlighting the importance of the mind-body connection.

My Story

Hi! Originally from the New England area, I always dreamed of moving to California and am proud to call it my home since 2022. A piece of my heart remains in Connecticut where I was born and raised. As a graduate of the University of Connecticut, I love cheering on the UCONN Huskies men’s and women’s teams every year in basketball. In my free time, I’m either spending quality time with my fiancée, trying to lower my handicap on the golf course or walking the beach with my dog.
