Psychological Assessment  Services

A psychological assessment is a comprehensive evaluation process used to understand an adolescent’s or young adult's cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and psychological functioning. It typically involves a combination of standardized tests, interviews, observations, and questionnaires administered by a psychologist (PsyD or Ph D). The goal of a psychological assessment is to gather in-depth information that can help identify mental health conditions (such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, or depression), learning disabilities, intellectual strengths and weaknesses, or social-emotional challenges.

The assessment process is tailored to the individual’s needs and may include tools that measure intelligence (IQ), academic achievement, attention and executive functioning, memory, language, social skills, emotional regulation, and more. After completing the evaluation, the psychologist provides a detailed written report with possible diagnoses, insights, and individualized recommendations for treatment, school accommodations, or other supports. Psychological assessments are often used by families, schools, and healthcare providers to inform educational planning, therapy goals, or access to additional services.
