Parent Coaching Program

The Connected Parent is a structured, skills-based four-week program focused on strengthening the parent–teen relationship while supporting your own emotional regulation and clarity. Rather than offering quick fixes or behavior-control strategies alone, this program centers on sustainable connection, values-based parenting, and practical tools you can use in real time.

The Connected Parent

When: Tuesdays, 6-7pm in a 4-Week Rotating Cycle

Where: Remotely via Telehealth (Zoom)

Audience:  Parents of adolescents (Ages 12-18) 

Cost:  Please contact us to verify your health insurance benefits

Out of Network: $120 for 4-week commitment per family ($30 per session)

Week-by-Week Curriculum 

Theme/Focus

Week 1

Foundations: Mindful Parenting

Key Concepts and Activities
  • Defining “mindful parenting” and its impact 

  • How mindfulness sets caregivers up to be responsive rather than reactive 

  • In-the-moment skills for parenting more mindfully 

  • Language shifts to help parents move from reactivity to responsiveness 

  • Positive parenting (focusing on and talking about wins)  

Week 2

Emotion Regulation

  • Understanding emotions (what they ARE…and what they AREN’T) 

  • Identifying and validating your own emotions  

  • Learning to identify when it’s better to pause and self-regulate than problem-solve 

  • Self-help skills for parental emotion management 

  • Helping your child manage when their emotions feel out of control  

Week 3

Effective Communication & Connection

  • Validation

  • Active Listening

  • Communicating Clear and Effective Requests

  • Repairing After Conflict

Week 4

Empowering Responsibility

  • Collaborative problem-solving framework; 

  • Repairing ruptures and embracing mistakes; 

  • Creating a family "Mission Statement" or long-term plan; 

  • Next steps and relapse prevention.
