Melissa Lowenstein, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Melissa Lowenstein takes an integrative, relational approach to therapy that combines insight-oriented exploration with practical tools for lasting change. She specializes in working with parents and families, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges with greater understanding, resilience, and connection. Drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavior (DBT), acceptance and commitment (ACT), somatic, and family systems approaches, Melissa tailors treatment to the unique needs of each client. Her work emphasizes emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, healthy relationships, and values-based living. By exploring both the deeper roots of distress and the pathways toward growth, she helps clients cultivate greater self-awareness, psychological flexibility, and well-being.

My Story
I’m a lifelong learner, creative spirit, and lover of meaningful connection. When I’m not working with clients, you can often find me moving my body through yoga, dance, hiking, or communing with the natural world. I’m deeply inspired by the creative arts, storytelling, and the ways people grow through challenge and change. I love gathering people together, whether through conversation, community, movement, or shared creative experiences. As a parent, educator, coach, and therapist, I’m continually fascinated by human development and the resilience of the human spirit. I enjoy reading, writing, exploring new ideas, and spending time with family and friends. At the heart of it all, I’m someone who believes that healing, growth, and joy happen in relationship—with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.
